The Jewelry Post

I've decided to start selling my jewelry. A friend of mine cuts hair at the cutest salon and she said I could sell my stuff there... Thanks Jewel!! How fitting, selling jewelry at Jewel's. I had my stuff there for a week and sold 2 necklaces. Anyways, I created a blog for my jewelry too, the link is to the left. As I was getting all this started another friend of mine was having a candle party and I sold stuff at her party. I sold 3 necklaces and had an order for two more custom ones. So hopefully things will continue to go well. While I had taken my necklaces back for the candle party, someone actually asked for my jewelry at the salon.

Good enough to eat!!!

so early this morning I was sorting laundry in the living room and all the kids were around me. All of a sudden I hear Kolby start screaming bloody murder. Then Kaleb takes off crying saying he doesn't want a spanking. I asked Kylie what had happened and she said that Kaleb bit Kolby. He didn't break any skin, but he almost did. After a talk and a spanking, I had Kaleb say he was sorry, then Kaleb started crying again and said that his leg was the one that got hurt. Kolby's poor little let.

A little preview...

For the last several months we've been planning to enclose our patio, which we never use into a play room for the kids. With Stuart working from home and taking up one of the rooms as his office we just needed some more space for the kids to play now that we have 3 of them. My friend Crystal and her husband Luke were just here from Utah and Luke did the framing/insulation/drywall/and trim. We are still waiting for our stucco guy to do his thing. Then we are going to finish up all the odds and ends like sanding the mud, painting, and any other thing that we need to do.

Here is my patio that I stained all by myself. I really like how it turned out. I decided to go with concrete stain rather than do flooring to save some money.

Stuart and Luke knocking down the stucco.. This is a very messy process and it also scuffed up my beautiful stained floor, so I have to do a retouch this week.

The framing is up with insulation, our sliding door got moved to the hole you see here.

We replaced the sliding doors with smaller french doors. I just love them!!!

I'll post more pictures later. I realized that my camera sucks and Crystal's is awesome. So when she get's home she's going to email me some and I can post more.

Bathroom habits!!!

There can be no picture for this post as you will see by reading it. So, for the longest time we've been trying to get Kylie to wipe herself when she goes #2. She does fine at #1, but #2 she just won't do it. No matter where she is, she will yell out to come wipe her butt. It doesn't matter who's house she's at. We even got her those flushable wet wipes thinking that they might make it exciting for some bizarre reason to wipe her butt, but they didn't work. Finally we just had to tell her she had to do it herself because we weren't going to help her anymore. She's really stubborn and would just sit there for the longest time until we eventually came in and wiped her down. Well lately she figured out a new plan. After she goes #2, she will come out to the living room or where ever we happen to be with her panties down to her ankles and she will turn around and bend over and spread her little cheeks apart and ask if her butt's clean. At this point in the process I've discovered that she hasn't tried wiping yet. Most of the time she has a "clean break" as Stuart likes to call it and there's nothing to wipe off. But on the off chance that she needs to do some clean up she's gets a little mad when I tell her she's not all clean. She'll even sometimes stop back into the bathroom in a huff and wipe up, saying that it's too hard the whole time. Hopefully she'll get out of this habit soon. How funny/horrible will it be if she's in school and goes to the bathroom and then wobbles back to the classroom with her panties down to at her ankles to ask her teacher if she's all clean.... what are we going to do with her.

Kylie and Stuart's Califonia trip Aug-2008

Every Summer we go to Stuart's parent's house in August when his brother Jordan and his family go. This is the only time each year we get to see his Brother and family since they live in Arkansas. This year Stuart and Kylie just went since I had just had Kolby 6 weeks before. So I stayed home with my boys.

One day they took the Lightrail to downtown San Jose to the Children's Technology Museum. Kylie called me from the train, she was so excited to be on one (sorta). Here is Kylie with Grandma, and her cousins Spencer and Alexis.
Stuart and His brother Jordan and Dallin, on the way to the lightrail.

They went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk where they have $.75 rides, drinks, hotdogs, and cotton candy. This is becoming a tradition each Summer.

The frog strikes back... with a vengeance!!!

Okay, so again I'm woken up sleeping (in bed this time)... Stuart was making a trip to the gas station to fill up the cars since there are reports of gas being at $6 a gallon in Florida and he didn't want to take the chance of it going up here too much. So as he was coming home he noticed that frog/toad.. I'm still not sure which one it is sitting next to the garage door as he opened it. He tried to close the door right away but it was too late the frog got in. We are now thinking that maybe it's home is in our garage. There are several bugs in there for him to eat. Oh no!! what if there are little frog babies or something in there. We are now going to have to clean out the garage just to make sure there is no frog home.

So we had the same old game of frogger to get it out of the garage again.
The frog is actually behind me right next to the bush so it's hard to see.

Only this time it left us a little parting gift..
I actually got it on video in the middle of the act.
Just to give you a good idea of the size of the frog...
the poop is about 1.5 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.
Oh, and Stuart said that he could smell the dang thing and he said it was really gross.

I will only scoot the frog out... I let Stuart deal with the dirty work

The story doesn't end there... Kylie was being a night owl or more likely I went to bed early and Stuart never told her to go to bed. So she tagged along to the gas station and was so freaked out by the frog that Stuart had to carry her inside. This is where we found here when we came back in. She put her pillows and her bean bag on the bed to give her more height off the ground.

Let's go A's!!

Since Stuart is from San Jose, CA. He grew up loving the Oakland A's. When we go visit his parents each Summer we usually go to a game. This year however the A's came here and played the Diamondbacks. Stuart took Kylie and Kaleb to one game by himself. They went early to watch practice. They were down at the field level calling out to the players to try to get them to talk to them. Kylie managed to get Kiko Calero to come over and talk to her, he even gave her a ball. Then Rich Harden came over and signed Kaleb's glove. (sorry no pictures of the baseball players). The next night we all went as a family. The kids were not as interested the second night as they were the first and since the A's were not winning as they had the night before Stuart wanted to leave. Which was totally fine with me since I was way preggers and so uncomfortable and wanted to leave too. Don't you just love our A's outfits?

Ashley and Cary Countee's wedding...

I"m doing a little catch up on events that happend over the Summer. I totally can't remember the exact date of the wedding but it was in May when Stuart's sister got married. The wedding was at his parents house in San Jose. I flew up early with Kaleb to help out with the decorations. This was Kalebs first airplane ride. He had such a good time, although he clung on to my arm when we hit turblance. What made the wedding so unusual was that Stuart got to be the one to marry Ashley and Cary. He even recited the line from "Friends" when Joey married Chandler and Monica. It was about "Giving and having, and sharing and loving, and the love that was had and shared and gived and received....." It was really funny. He kept it a secret. Ashely got it right away and started laughing. Not everyone got the joke but it sounded funny regarless. Kylie got to be the flower girl and Kaleb was the ring barer. He did it perfectly in rehersal, but when it came time for the big show, he got stage freight and Stuart carried him down the isle. It all ended up being really nice despite the fact that there was a heat warning at the same time, so everyone was sweating to death!!

My Crazy Husband - - updated story info that I forgot about!!!

For as long as I've known Stuart, whenever he gets a fever he goes crazy. For the most part all he did was talk all crazy in his sleep. A week ago we entered a whole new level of fever-crazy!! Last Wednesday Stuart stared getting a sore throat, so he went to the doctor and got on anti-biotics. Well on Thursday afternoon, the crazy-talk started. He was taking a nap on the couch and I walked into the room as he was asking someone if they had "talked to Susan". I asked him who Susan was and he told me "Susan Bitter Smith" ( She's running for some office I guess). He then went on to say that "Sherriff Joe Arpio supports her but he didn't know what her policy's are" He got himself so worked up about Susan Bitter Smith and her policy's that he had to look her up on the internet to find out.

Then that evening I had gone to bed when Kolby went down and Stuart stayed out working/playing on his laptop. I woke up to nurse Kolby and found Stuart standing in front of the couch with his underware down to his ankles. I told him to pull them up, but he insisited that he couldn't reach them. Finally he pulled them back up. Then he got up off the couch, put on his flip flops and got a wet paper towel and proceded to catch a bug in the hallway that wasn't there, after he flipped every light swith on and off several times. After he threw away the invisible bug he decided to take the trash out to the curb, so that the bug couldn't get away. I was still sitting in the chair nursing Kolby as he began to unlock the front door, in his underware and flip flops, but luckily he couldn't get the door open with the child lock I put on it. I told him to put the trash down and lay back down on the couch and I'd put the trash out in the morning. I got him to lay back down on the couch, but he wouldn't take his flip flops off, so I had to take them off of him and he got really upset about that. So I finished nursing Kolby and I went back to bed. Then 2 minutes later I heard the front door open and shut and I jumped out of bed to find Stuart running around all hunched over in the front yard taking the trash out...IN HIS UNDERWARE!!!! He came back in and began to look for bugs that may have come in while the door was open. Stuart then began talking about going to the gym. I couldn't take my chances with that one, so I had to hide all the car keys. Can you imagine a grown man showing up at the gym in the middle of the night in his underware wearing a nose stip. Well, soon after I hid the keys he was on the phone pushing buttons and saying "hello, hello". He didn't actually call anyone luckily, but when I asked him what he was doing he said he was going to call the dealership and give them the bin # for the car so they could make him a key so he could then go to the gym. At this point I was a little fed up and going a little crazy myself taking care of an adult child. I actually grounded him to the couch, and I think I may have even spanked his butt for not obeying at first. Finally he did get on the couch, but said that he needed to get up to spit in the sink. I said he had to stay on the couch and I'd get him a spit cut. He then wanted to get up to get a drink, but I brought him a cup of water too and just prayed he wouldn't get the two cups mixed up. So I went back to bed after sitting out with him making sure he was alseep for sure. Well a few hours past and it was time to nurse Kolby again and when I came out into the living room I found Stuart sitting up on the edge of the couch about to pee in his spit cup. I asked him what the heck he was doing and he said that I told him he couldn't leave the couch. I told him it's okay to get off the couch for that. What an obedient hubby I have. He did manage to thank me for being such a great wife during all his crazy happenings. Oh and he also was stomping around all over the living room.. making his flip flops...well flip flop!!!

Now for night number 2 of crazy stuff... Again I go to bed early with Kolby, and Stuart stays up on the computer. I came out of the room to nurse again and Stuart was sleeping on the couch ranting about his brain tumor and that he needed to get it out. I told him to go back to sleep...even though he was sleeping if that makes any sense. He was again in his underware and flip flops, flipping and flopping all over the house. He again got a wet paper towel but this time he actually caught a cricket and came over to show it to me and said "now who's crazy". He then got his cell phone and dialed a number and told them he wouldn't need a ride to the hospital to get his brain tumor out, he'd drive himself. I asked him for his phone after he hung up and I looked to see who he called....911!!! Oh yeah, he called them for real. Good thing they never called back or came over. He then went to the garage and opened the door and began to go outside to go to the hospital. I had to pull Kolby off from nursing, put him down and run after Stuart to bring him back inside. I quickly hid the keys again.

So that was my two days of CRAZY STUART!!! I was so afraid to go to sleep for fear of finding him wandering around the neighborhood in his underware!! I learned this past weekend when Stuart's parent's were here for Kolby's baby blessing that he did this as a child too. I hope he never get's a fever again!!! But now we are seeing a little bit of the crazy in Kylie too. When she get's a fever she does talk in her sleep all crazy like....OH NO!!! I really hope they both don't get sick at the same time.

Going Kolby crazy!!

I know I'm going a little post crazy today, but I have to dedicate one to Kolby. He was born on June 26, 2008. He weighed 8 pounds 1 oz, and was 20 inches long. He's such a good little baby, until the colic kicks in. But we have a great colic remedy thanks to my mom and it makes the night much better.

Kolby Jared Post
Kylie and Kaleb just love him to death!!! Sometimes almost literally!

A friend of mine introduced me to the MOBY WRAP!!! Best thing ever. If you don't have one go and get one. It let's me have my hands free while I cook dinner or do the dishes, or eat!!!

Kolby just had his baby blessing this past Sunday September 7th, 2008. His daddy blessed him and Gampy, Grampa Post, Uncle Jon, Robert Halverson, Terry Bradford and Bishop Turley all stood in. His blessing outfit was made by Grandma Mimi.

Keepin' cool in the heat!

A few weeks ago Stuart was at Fry's, which has come to be our downfall. Now that we have a grocery store so close we find that we make more trips than usual. So on one of these un-needed trips, Stuart came home with a play pool for the kids. They absolutely love it. Kaleb just plays basket ball the whole time, while Kylie plays on the slide. Kylie also practices her swimming, even though she almost as long as the pool. Too bad Kolby isn't big enough to join in the fun.

Sometimes the box is more fun!

I've always heard that kids will more than likely play with the box something came in rather than the actual item in the box. This is totally true!!! A few weeks ago we bought a new TV since our old one finally met it's maker. The kids wanted to make a boat out of it, but it was too hard for them to get into, so Stuart cut out a door for them and it then became a new play house. We had this box around our house for over a week since they wouldn't let us get rid of it. The first night Kylie even slept in it.

Mr. Toad's wild ride!

Last night I went out for a girls night out. While I was out it had started raining so I guess all creatures want to find shelter. Well I can only assume that as I pulled into the garage last night this rather large frog or toad, I'm not really sure which hopped into the garage and hid under my car. After I got Kolby to bed, Stuart and I were on the couch watching some TV and I guess I fell asleep, because the next thing I know Stuart is waking me up all excited-like and told me he needs my help outside. He made a late night stop to the Burger King down the road. He noticed the frog under my car as he opened the garage to pull back in. I actually thought the frog was pretty cute. I tried to make some noise to get it to go outside (it had stopped raining by this point) but it just sat there. Finally I slid a plastic something or another at it and it hopped out from under the car but it was on the opposite side of the car that I was on and I couldn't get behind it to get it to hop on out of the garage. Stuart then backed the car out so we could get a better angle on the frog.

I got out the mop and poked at it a bit and it hopped over to the corner of the garage and got stuck in-between the legs of a chair. We moved the chair and it hopped behing some pavers and started to climb the wall amost

Finally we got it to hop on out of the garage and off to freedom. I was actually surprised that it didn't hop all over the place all crazy like. It was almost like it was moving in slow motion. We contemplated on keeping it for the kids to have as a pet, but didn't know what to feed it and where to keep it... So when the kids woke up this morning I showed them the pictures and they were excited to just to see pictures.
