Fed up with AHCCCS!!

I wasn't going to use this blog as a place to gripe and complain, but I'm making an exception. When I got pregnant with Kolby we qualified for state insurance. The rest of the family was put on kidscare and I was under a different section for maternity. I got a letter about a month ago that said since I'm no longer pregnant I will no longer be insured as of September 1st. I assumed that I would be switched over to the kidscare side with the rest of the family. But after trying to contact our eligibility specialist and her supervisor several times with no return calls I was getting nervous. Finally a nice old lady named Martha helped me out yesterday. She told me that I have to reapply for kidscare. It's nice that I was never told that I needed to reapply, when I talked to several other kidscare customer service people when I had them look up what was going on with my account since I wasn't getting any help from our eligibility specialist. So now that the month is almost over I have to send in an application today and maybe I'll get my insurance back in a few months. Sure hope I don't need to use it until then. I just remember getting signed up for insurance last time was a nightmare, so I'm not looking forward to the process to happen all over again.

Also I'm starting to look at getting a job working from home. Stuart works for a company called Bridgeway and provides case management.. and he get's to work from home. We were hoping that I would be able to get a job at his company since I've done the case management thing before. Unfortunately we both can't work in the same position at that company. Good news is there are two other companies that do the same thing as Bridgeway. I wasn't planning on starting a job until Kolby was a year old, but I found out that one of the other companies is hiring for a case management position right now. So my plans may change a bit. I was hoping to wait until I finished nursing to do this job since it will require me to be out of the house at least one day a week. But I don't want to chance missing out on the opportunity now. So my nursing career might be coming to an end if I get this job. I'll keep the blog updated on my career moves as they happen.

Let's get started!

So we've decided to join the band wagon and have a family blog. We've been talking lately and realized that since we don't journal that we are forgetting some of the really cute things the kids do. So this is our attempt to fix that. Hopefully we can keep it up. I'll post a few blogs to catch up on what happend over the Summer and then we'll keep things current after that. Enjoy!!
